The Chanterelle’s Mirror

Still coming along. Using one strand of floss for the outlying on the face, I may redo the mouth a little. But I am pretty happy how the rest is coming along. The outlining is a little tricky but I think it works better following the completed picture rather than the chart.

The Chanterelle’s Mirror

My new project for this month is – The Chanterelle’s Mushroom, cross stitch pattern by Nimuë. This pattern was created using a drawing by Jean-Baptistery Montage. Nimuë patterns pretty easy to read. They are printed with both French and English instructions. The charts themselves are printed large enough making them easy to read. They do also have basic stitch instructions and this pattern does not have any speciality stitches so it looks easy enough for a beginner. I am doing this on 28 count stitching 2 threads of floss 2 over 2 on light brown linen.
